2018 has started off the same way 2017 did: a losing January! It's months like this that can be difficult for any sports bettor, no matter how seasoned you are. Maybe my systems don't work anymore? Should I change things? NO!
December was a losing month, to finish out the year. I'm going to release my first ever annual update shortly, as well. My soccer system was the only thing that saved me from being a really bad month.
I'm happy to see that I had a winning month, although I haven't yet recovered from October's losses. I made a few changes in October, and I'm very happy with the results so far.
Well, I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later. October wasn't a good month for me. I made a pretty big change in October, that is more in line with my plans for this site.
I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but I'm not complaining. September was another winning month, and I'm very happy with 4 figures of profit.
What a spectacular month August was! I went on one heck of a winning run, and made the most profit in a single month that I've made since I started this site (I tripled my previous best month!).
July could've gone either way, but I did manage to pull out a small profit. Better than a loss, though, right? I was travelling for much of July, so I kept it simple and only bet on my own systems this month. I didn't make a single bet on any of the handicappers that I follow, and I actually really enjoyed it.Continue reading
June was another winning month, and I couldn't be happier with the results. It did about the same as what May did, and I hope that July produces an even greater return. I did make a few changes in June, and I think it's going to produce an ever greater income, while minimizing my exposure.Continue reading
I can't believe it's already June. 6 months have gone by, and I couldn't be happier with my results and how this site has started to grow. It's great that after February and March's losing streak, I had winning months in both April and May, which completely recovered me from the losses I had.Continue reading
February was an interesting month.
My own systems made money, while the handicapper’s picks that I pay for lost me money. One of my rules is that I will give a handicapper a shot for an entire season before I make my decision to pull them. Since MLB will be the first sport with a full season (since I started back on December 6), then that means every handicapper I’m currently using will have until the end of the World Series in October to make me a positive ROI (including the prices of their picks).
I made a total of 259 bets. I won 130 of them, lost 124, 3 bets refunded, and pushed on 2, giving me a 51.2% win percentage. I put a total of $12,664 into action, and made a net loss of -$232.53, producing a -1.84% ROI.
I made the most money in college hoops in February, and I did the worst in NHL hockey.
I made the most money with Heritage Sports, and I lost the most money at 5Dimes. I made most of my bets at BetOnline.
I had 22 bets total. I won 13 of them, lost 8, and pushed on 1, giving me a 61.9% win rate. I put $1,090 into action, and made a profit of $208.36, producing a 19.12% ROI.
I had 71 bets. I won 39, lost 31, and pushed on 1, giving me a 55.7% win rate. I put a total of $3,483 into action and made a profit of $177.18, producing a 5.09% ROI.
I had 18 bets. I won 9, lost 7, and refunded on 2, giving me a 56.3% win rate. I put a total of $878 into action and made a profit of $143.71, producing a 16.37% ROI.
I had 10 bets. I won 7, lost 2, and refunded on 1, giving me a 77.8% win rate. I put a total of $423 into action and made a profit of $63.85, producing a 15.09% ROI.
This week, there were 124 picks; 56 wins, and 68 losses, giving me a 45.2% win rate. I put a total of $6,095 into action, and lost -$742.98, giving me a -12.19% ROI.
Since I started betting their picks this month, there were 14 picks; 6 wins, and 8 losses, giving me a 42.9% win rate. I put a total of $695 into action, and lost -$82.65, giving me a -11.89% ROI.
What can I say – it’s been a wild ride so far. February closes out 3 months, and while it ended with a losing month, I’m still happy.
Adding in a few handicappers has hurt my income, as 2 of them are on losing streaks. I’m confident that they will recover and produce a positive ROI for me. October is a long way away, and MLB, NBA, and NHL should be my most profitable sports.
I can’t wait to see how this plays out with my first annual report.
For now, I am very excited for these past 3 months, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
